Town centre shops and older terraces
Newton Abbot has older terraces and shopfronts as well as newer buildings, and the older ones often have voids, cellars and gaps where pipes enter. Mice in particular can live unseen above ceilings and behind units, only showing themselves through droppings or gnawed packaging.
In a shop or office we check storerooms, staff kitchens, delivery areas and bin stores, then trace where the pests are getting in. We use traps and baiting where it is safe to do so, and give you simple advice on stock storage and cleaning to make your premises less inviting.
Industrial units, farms and open land
Around Newton Abbot there are industrial units, farm buildings and open fields, and the head of the estuary brings wildlife close to the edge of town. Rats and mice follow feed stores, skips and stacked pallets, and can move between farm and town sites without much trouble.
For larger premises we walk the whole site, inside and out, and note burrows, runs and damage. Then we agree where to place controls and what to fix, such as door gaps or open drains. Safety around staff, pets and livestock always comes first when we plan treatment.
Regular checks and records for Newton Abbot firms
Some Newton Abbot businesses prefer an ongoing arrangement so problems are caught early. After each visit we leave a clear written record of what we found and what we did, which is handy for audits and for your own files. We do not claim any certification. If your premises fall in TQ12, we also cover Teignmouth, Shaldon and Totnes, so one call can cover several locations.

Do you work on industrial estates in Newton Abbot?
Yes. We can survey units, look at doors, loading areas and bins, and set up a plan to deal with rats or mice. A written note after each visit helps you keep track of what has been done.
