Signs of Bed Bugs and What to Do Next
Bed bugs are small, flat insects that hide close to where people sleep, and knowing the early signs helps you act before they spread through a home.

Spotting the signs early
Look at the bed in daylight. Bed bugs leave small rusty or dark spots on sheets and along mattress seams, pale shed skins, and sometimes a sweet, musty smell when numbers build up. Bites often appear in lines on the arms, neck or legs and itch a day or two later. None of this means your home is dirty. Seeing a few of these signs together is a strong clue.
